60 minute lesson: $100
-
Tuitions are due at the first week of each month, in an equal payment amount of 4 lessons per month(there are 40 full weeks of instruction based on current studio calendar year).
Lesson Make-ups and Cancelation
-
There is no refund for missed lessons: missed lessons can be rescheduled due to illness and family emergency if a notice is given a day (24 hours) before the lesson.
-
It is the responsibility of the students and parents to ensure consistent attendance to persist in learning a challenging subject, though flexibility can be considered on individual cases.
-
If the teacher has an emergency and needs to cancel lessons, missed lessons will be made up based on mutual availability.
-
Excessive excuses from lessons (more than 3 times per school year) may result in discontinuing services from the studio.
-
The teacher held the right to discontinue lessons at any time if the student and/or parents disregard the studio policy, or if the student/parents and teacher’s relationship is not a good fit.
Leveling exams
-
Leveling exams can provide a concreate structure in student’s learning and provide the child with a sense of fulfillment, but just like competitions, it might not be for every child.
-
I am equipped to prepare the students with the RCM/ ABRSM exams.
Performances and Masterclasses
-
Each quarter there will be multiple performance opportunities for all to participate.
-
When I sense the student is ready for competition/festival performance, I will initiate opportunities to the parent.
-
Please stay for the entire program even after the student is done playing. A recital is not only a presentation for each student, but a time to support your fellow classmates and build community.
Lesson Etiquette
-
Young children (5-8) are advised to keep one piano notebook with them during each lesson, and follow the specific instructions listed by the teacher for practice guidance. Children above 9 should take notes right after each lesson by themselves.
-
Practicing at home is an important component of learning an instrument.
-Beginning level : 20-30 min+ 5 days per week
-Intermediate Level: 45-60 min+ 6 days per week
-Advanced Level: 75 min+ 7 days per week
-
Please be on time for your lessons.
